Mekar Air Handling Units : Mekar Air Handling Units ( www.mekar.it ) is a specialist company manufacturing chilled water airside equipment (AHUs and FCUs) and is part of Aliseo group www.aliseogroup.com .

Mekar has 3 factories based in Italy and one warehousing and assembling facility in UAE which caters to the Middle East region.

Mekar products have been installed in over 500 iconic and prestigious projects worldwide and mainly in the middle east such as Burj Khalifah , Burj Al Arab, Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque in the UAE , and World Trade Centre, Al Wakra Hospital, Crown Plaza Hotel in Qatar and many others and have proven to be performing well.

Mekar Air handling Unit (www.mekar.it). MK Control is the result of the Mekar idea about the production of air handling units complete with :
  1. - power switchboard;
  2. - sensors and actuators (field elements);
  3. - electronic controller;
  4. - communication modules.

The air handling units can be supplied, in that way, ready to be operated, only providing that the necessary aeraulic and hydronic connections and the mains supply have been done. That, compared to a traditional on site installation gives the following advantages:

  1. - Factory assembled components, with sure quality standard.
  2. - Wirings internal to the unit, for a more ”clean” execution, a safer operation of the air handling unit and a better aesthetic.
  3. - Parameter’s setup directly factory made.

Ducts for air distribution system

Mekar Air handling Unit (www.mekar.it). Mekar can design, supply and install all types of air distribution system, constructed as requested by the client such as:

1) galvanized plate ductwork with insulation
2) circular or oval ducting in different types of materials
3) piral and textile ducting


To complete the installation it is possible to supply all the necessary accessories such as grilles, diffusers, regulating and fire dampers, etc.

Mekar Air handling Unit (www.mekar.it). The 23MK series air handling units are the evolution of the historic 03MK series: they have inherited their robustness, flexibility and reliability and incorporate many technological and production improvements, but above all, they distinguish themselves for speed of consignment. The secret of this improvement is in the automation of the production process, which, without renouncing the flexibility for which MEKAR products are famous, rationalizes the component choice and ensures maximum performance in the most economical sizes for production. To achieve this the range has been designed around a modular pitch of 160mm in all three dimensions which gives rise to 28 basic models and 16 low height models particularly adapted for installation above false ceilings or in low plant rooms. Such a wide choice of models ensures that the smallest possible model can be chosen according to the coil face velocity.

The 23MK units are therefore available in 44 models for an airflow range from 1,000 to 80,000m3/h and with static pressures up to 2,500Pa ( custom built units can also be supplied for higher airflows or static pressures). 

The 16 low height models can be further reduced in height by eliminating the 150mm high standard base frame.

Hygienic 23MK-H


SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

When the use of air handling units is critical like that of hospitals, high tech industry (clean rooms), pharmaceutical or food industry, the requirements for cleaning and hygiene are mandatory.

Mekar has developed solutions, that can be applied on its ahu serie 23MK, and that match those requirements. The solutions can be graduated in such a way to conform in the best way each application. The use of the proposed solution must therefore been evaluated time by time, considering that some of them are alternative one to the other.
